Dog walking, for me, is more than just movement—it's a conversation. Every tail wag, ear flick, and sideways glance is a word in the language of dogs. With over two decades of experience and a heart rooted in compassion, I walk with awareness, intention, and respect for each dog’s unique way of being in the world.

I believe in walking with presence.

That means tuning in to the subtle cues dogs give us—when they’re curious, when they’re anxious, when they’re “coming in hot,” or when they’re just loving loudly. Some dogs greet the world with a full-body wiggle; others need space and time. I honour both.

Reading dog language is central to my practice.

I watch for signs of stress, excitement, or overstimulation and adjust our pace, route, or interactions accordingly. I don’t believe in forcing dogs into social situations they’re not ready for. Instead, I create a calm, responsive environment where they can feel safe and joyful.

Safety and joy go hand in paw.

Whether it’s a solo stroll or a small group walk, I carefully match dogs based on temperament and energy. I use positive reinforcement, gentle redirection, and a whole lot of patience. My goal is to make every walk a moment of connection, not just exercise, but enrichment.

Rooted in ethics and relentless compassion.

My approach is informed by years of work in harm reduction and social justice. I bring that same care and attentiveness to every dog I walk. I see them not just as pets, but as sentient beings with needs, preferences, and personalities.
